Q. What should my child wear?
A. For safety reasons, girls should wear leotards, shorts, tank tops, or close-fitting t-shirts. No blue jeans, baggy clothing, or pants that are too long. Long hair must be pulled away from the face.Trampoline/tumbling shoes are required for tumbling classes. (Socks are fine for tumble bug and combo classes) - please see below for shoes and leotards
Q. When are class fees due?
A. Class fees are due by the 15th of each month. If they are not received by the 15th of the month, a late fee of $10 will be added to your account.
Q. Is there a registration fee?
A. Yes, there is an annual $20 registration fee for each student. You will pay this when you register your child and complete the registration form. Registration fees hold your child's place in the class and include a complimentary LDG t-shirt!
Q. What forms of payment do you accept?
A. LDG accepts cash, personal checks, and money orders. We are not set up to take credit or debit cards at this time.
Q. Do you offer gift certificates?
A. Yes! You can purchase a gift certificate for any amount to be used for class fees, registration fees, t-shirts, shoes, leotards, sweatshirts, warm up suits, competitive team wear, or anything LDG related!
Q. Can my child start classes in the middle of the month or do we need to wait until the beginning of the next month?
A. You may start classes at any time during the month. We will prorate the rest of the month for you. THIS IS THE ONLY TIME WE WILL PRORATE CLASS FEES.
Q. Can my child make up missed classes?
A. Yes. Classes can be made up for illness, family emergencies, school activities, or for being out of town. You must talk with Llaina before making up a class. Some of our classes are currently full and we cannot have make-ups done in these classes. We also want to make sure that you are placed in the appropriate make-up class.
Q. I would like more information on the competitive team, how can my child get on the team?
A. ANY student enrolled at Llaina's Dance & Gym is welcome to be on team - we believe that each child is a star! Team sports benefit every child, not just children that are hand picked by teachers, If you are interested in competition team please see the team page enclosed in your new parent handout or talk to Llaina.
Q. What if my child isn't sure about which class to take?
A. We will make suggestions about different classes and they can take a test class for free to see if they are interested.
Q. Are parents allowed to stay and watch?
A. We have a waiting room that parents and guardians are welcome to stay in. For safety reasons we do not allow parents/guardians to stay in classes with the children.
Q. What do I need to buy for my child's classes and where do I get it?
A. We have a fully stocked inventory of dance leotards, shoes, warm ups, sweatshirts, t-shirts, shorts, dance bags, etc! Llaina will tell you exactly what your child will need for each individual class when you enroll. Each new student will also receive a parent packet with important information including newsletters and school rules.

Q. Do you have recitals?
A. Yes! We have one OPTIONAL recital at Jacksonville High School in May. Every student enrolled at LDG is encouraged to participate in the show. Currently our 2010 show is May 20-22 = a Thursday night full dress rehearsal, Friday night performance and 2 shows on Saturday!
